Nasdaq index briefly tops 4,000 for first time in 13 years

The technology-laden index, which closes up 2.92 points at 3,994.57, has risen more than 32% since Jan. 1. But it remains far below its all-time close of 5,048.62 in March 2000.First came the Dow. Then the S&P 500. And now the Nasdaq is reaching a milestone.
